This is what happens when the music department gets a $130,000 budget cut. Do they cut secretaries and TAs? Do they cut the 75 degree heat in the evenings? No. They cut the wind ensemble. Maybe now would be a good time to email the chair and tell him what you think.

Here we go again. The Wind Ensemble is playing Carnegie Hall in New York, NY this winter. The concert is on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. For more information or for ticket sales, go to the concert page on carnegiehall.org.

The UCSC Wind Ensemble has been selected to perform in the Concert Debut Series held in New York City's famed Carnegie Hall on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, 2001. We are very honored and excited to be sharing the concert with the National Wind Ensemble, directed by H. Robert Reynolds from the University of Michigan, and to be representing the University of California, Santa Cruz in this prestigious concert series.
